About this Talk
From a young age, we are taught how to read, write, and do arithmetic, but many of us are not explicitly taught the critical skills of emotional intelligence—the ability to understand, acknowledge, and respond to our own and others’ emotions. Without this ability, we are limited in achieving our goals, optimizing productivity, and fostering workplace cohesion.
In this session, Dr. Christina Robillard provides a foundational overview of emotional intelligence, exploring what it is and why it is so important. Attendees will be equipped with practical strategies to observe and regulate their own emotions, and to effectively validate and de-escalate others’ emotions, ultimately promoting wellness intelligence and efficacy in their lives.
